I was recruited to CWC by a District Manager who had gone there from the Gap. I was excited for a new adventure! The staff at that store was amazing, and the company culture was incredibly different than most retailers: they still believe in service!! While appreciative of the opportunity and what I learned, I ultimately decided that I wanted something different than retail for my career. My jewelry armoire is forever grateful for that year.

My first love: the Gap.
I started working for the Gap as a part-time sales associate while I was in college. It was my favorite store, I needed some cash…so, why not? I never meant to turn it into my full-time life! I joined the company as they were expanding and changing and redefining…a very exciting time for someone with my energy and willingness.
I worked my way to the General Manager role and stayed there for three years before moving on. For years, former customers would still stop me in public, and many times, I remembered what style of jeans they bought or what their child wore for their school pictures. I was so Gap loyal, I continued to work as a sales associate later in life as a fun second income.
